Up, up and away: Tower Bridge in London raised, so giant hot air BALLOON could sail through

This was the eyepopping sight that greeted sleepy commuters in London a few days ago, when Tower Bridge was raised to allow a hot air balloon through for the first time in the landmark’s 105-year history.

Created to mark the release of new Disney-Pixar animated movie Up, and painted all over with lots of little balloons, the balloon also had more than 500 half-balloons sewn to its outside with 18 miles of thread.

When hot air was pumped into the main balloon, all the mini-balloons expanded too.
The creation, which weighs as much as a baby elephant, was kept on course on its way upstream by a tugboat.

UP is a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen who ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America.
The premiere was held on a Sunday at the British Film Institute (BFI) on London's Southbank- and the last two pics are from the movie itself... Indeed, a great way to use Outdoor media to promote a movie before its release....

Bathroom Sink Sticker

To support Pert Plus and its effectiveness towards hair fall control, Leo Burnett Lebanon invaded bathrooms in universities, malls, theaters, cafe's and pubs, and intervened in sinks, where you will always find a fallen hair. A transparent waterproof sticker simulates a hair reaching out from the drain struggling to avoid being flushed in by the water. Part of the hair is treated to stay loose and unstuck to the surface enhancing the drama as it wobbles with the flowing water.
