Foreign Beer Exchange

Heineken is a major sponsor of the Austin City Limits music festival, which means Shiner beer, the local favorite, can’t be served on the festival grounds. So in order to defend Shiner’s turf, the Foreign Beer Exchange Program was born. Concert goers were given Shiner wooden nickels, good for free Shiner at the Foreign Beer Exchange Program Headquarters. The headquarters housed porta potties where people could relieve themselves of the lesser, foreign beer, and “exchange” it for an ice-cold Shiner.

UNICEF- Landmine Stickers

In many countries, landmines are still an insidious danger to civilians. That’s what we wanted to show to anybody who walked pass the UNICEF information booths. Leo Burnett, Frankfurt, Germany placed "Invisible Landmine-Stickers" on the floor-

Their self-adhesive topsides looked exactly like the floor. When people walked over them, they stuck to their feet. While removing the stickers, people discovered the picture of a landmine on the bottom side. They were also informed that in many other countries, they would have been the victim of a landmine just at this moment. At the booths, people could get further information’s and donate to the social cause of UNICEF.”

CNN- Tapes The Berlin Wall

CNN taped the original position of the Berlin Wall using branded tape launching CNN International’s new slogan “Go Beyond Borders”

- The line often goes through buildings a built after the fall of the wall – through restaurants, offices, hotels and even train stations.

- At certain points along the wall line we created temporary street art installations detailing 8 stories of people who went over, under or even through the biggest border in history. Exactly where these events actually happened.

- Stickers on the street fill you in on the details, QR codes push pedestrians online to CNN’s Berlin Wall Special and a google map with links to archive footage from back in the day.

The project took 5 days and 40km of tape.
